The Highlands Relief Hub Inc. has officially transitioned to the Highlands & District Community Recovery Association Inc. (HaDCRA), an incorporated, community-led organisation. We are a membership-based association recognised and supported by the Mitchell and Murrindindi Shire Councils, Emergency Management Victoria, and other key disaster recovery agencies.

Why join?
Join Highlands & District Community Recovery Association Inc. Membership is completely free and open to anyone who supports the vision and purpose of our Association. Having a strong, active membership base ensures our group truly reflects what our whole district wants and needs.
As a member, you can:
- Have a direct say in shaping community recovery priorities and local actions.
- Vote on major decisions and help elect who represents you on the Association Management Committee.
- Stay informed via our mailing list with key notices, project updates and opportunities.
- Get involved in local workshops, events, activities and working groups.
- Help us advocate for critical local needs and strengthen applications for essential grant funding.

Membership FAQs
- What is the difference between a General Member and a Management Committee Member?
- General members form the heart of HaDCRA. Being a general member is free, carries no required tasks or regular meetings, and allows you to vote at AGMs and stay updated on local news. Management committee members are elected from the general membership base to handle the practical, behind-the-scenes decision-making and administration to keep the association running.
- Does it cost anything to join?
- No. Membership is 100% free.
- Do general members have to attend meetings?
- No, meeting attendance is never compulsory. Being a member simply means you support our district and want to stay in the loop. However, we would love to see your face whenever you can make it, as your input helps guide everything we do.
- What am I committing to as a member?
- As much or as little as you like. There are no mandatory duties or required hours. You can simply choose to stay updated via email, join in on local events, or have your say by voting at meetings.
